Republican Assembly Representative Mark Born from Beaver Dam has co-sponsored the bill to create a medical marijuana program in Wisconsin. The bill creates a medical marijuana program that tightly regulates the cultivation, processing, testing, and dispensing of medical marijuana to ensure patients have legal, safe, and reliable access to a consistent product without breaking the law to obtain it.

The bill is filed as Assembly Bill 750 and assigned to the Assembly Committee on State Affairs. The next step for any legislation is a public hearing. Both versions of medical marijuana bills are in the same committee.
