One Republican Stands out in the Assembly District 37 Primary
Republican Primary for the special election in Assembly District 37 (MAP) will be held on June 15th, 2021.
Wisconsin Assembly District 37 is comprised of the cities of Columbus, Waterloo and Watertown, along with the Towns of Bristol, Elba, Emmet, Ixonia, Lebanon, Lowel, Portland, Shields and York. AD 37 also include the villages of DeForest, Lowell, Reeseville and Windsor.

There are eight (8) candidates that will be competing in the Republican Primary on June 15th, 2021.
When a vacant seat is open, Republicans waiting their turn in line all come out to fight. Wouldn’t it be nice to see this type of competitive politics in each Incumbent race also? If the maps do not change and gerrymandering is continued, then a special strategy adopted from special elections might be the only chance. If you do not know what I am talking about, read my previous article entitled Speical Election in Assembly District 37 requires a special strategy.
Anyways, back to the race…… The winner of the June 15th primary will go on to face Democrat Pete Adams and Independent Stephen Ratzlaff Jr. in the general election on July 13th, 2021.
The Wisconsin Cannabis Activist Network has updated the site to include the 4 Republicans who responded so far with some sort of stance on cannabis reform. The WI-CAN org sent a candidate questionnaire to each candidate. The first and only Republican to complete the entire profile survey and believes that legalization of cannabis is the right way to move Wisconsin forward is Republican Jenifer Quimby.
