About Us
Passionate Team. Collaboration Driven.
Wisconsin Cannabis Activist Network is a group of concerned citizens from all walks of life, professions and political affiliations working together to reform the cannabis laws in Wisconsin.
Our Priorities and Goals
1: Wisconsin Cannabis Caucus
Work with Senate and Assembly allies to form the first-ever Wisconsin Cannabis Caucus to develop and promote sensible cannabis policy reform and work together to reform state cannabis laws under a bipartisan nature using the Wisconsin Hemp Cannabis Bill of Rights as their guiding principal document.
First order of business for the new caucus during the ‘First 100 Days’ of the 2027 legislative session would be to address the issue of regulating, not banning the intoxicating hemp products also known has hemp derived cannabinoid (HDC) products and pass legislation similar to Senate Bill 682 / Assembly Bill 747 from the 2025-26 legislative session.
2: Decriminalize personal possession of marijuana.
Decriminalize personal possession and sale of hemp cannabis and marijuana.
Replace criminal violations with civil violations.
Remove the felony provision for personal possession of subsequent offenses.
This is a plant, and no one in Wisconsin deserves a felony for possessing a plant substance that can be purchased legally.
3: Establish a medical cannabis program allowing:
Establish a medical cannabis program allowing:
a) smoking and eating cannabis.
b) patients the ability to grow/cultivate their own plants or designate caregivers to do it for them.
c) Self-certification model for medical cannabis eligibility, let doctors and patients decide qualifying conditions, not legislators. Use database to build future program features and for scientific studies/research.
d) a structure for municipalities to govern commercial medical marijuana caregiver facilities and farmers markets.
e) reciprocity with other medical marijuana states.
4: Establish a recreational adult use program.
Allow the state to license, regulate cannabis like alcohol, including home cultivation and sales; implement a low tax on commercial cannabis and low entry fees / fair commercial licensing structure.
