Jonathan Peetz Nomination Papers for 6th Congressional District 2026

SUBJECT: Help Jonathan Peetz Qualify for the Ballot – Sign & Return Petition ASAP

Friends and Activists,

We need your immediate help to make sure there is at least ONE candidate willing to engage with Wisconsin’s hemp and cannabis community in the Republican primary for Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District.

Republican candidate Jonathan Peetz is challenging incumbent Congressman Glen Grothman, and right now Jonathan needs signatures to qualify for the ballot before looming deadlines.

In recent weeks, Jonathan has been actively reaching out to stakeholders across the district and listening to concerns from the hemp and cannabis community. He recently met with Craig Thran from 3 Tall Pines in Plymouth and Jay Selthofner from Heritage Hemp Farm in Ripon to discuss hemp policy, small businesses, and the future of the industry in Wisconsin.

Quite frankly, Jonathan has met with and spoken to more hemp stakeholders in the last few weeks than Congressman Grothman has during this entire legislative cycle.

This matters.

Congressman Grothman was once considered a hemp ally, but he has been noticeably absent from the national hemp conversation lately and has not even co-sponsored H.R. 7024, legislation supported by key Republicans and advocates working to protect the hemp industry.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Peetz has stated publicly:

I support farmers. I do not seek to tell Wisconsin farmers what they should or should not grow on their land. Regulation and safety are important, but unreasonable restriction is inexcusable.

The sick and elderly can be treated without unreasonable side effects. Cannabis is a proven remedy to treat illness.

The lost income to bordering states can’t be recovered, but Wisconsin can move forward and make a positive change. ”

At a minimum, we need to help ensure voters in the 6th District have a choice and force these issues into the conversation during the primary.

HERE’S WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO TODAY:

  1. Print the signature form
  2. Sign it yourself
  3. Get at least FOUR more friends, family members, or supporters to sign
  4. Mail it back IMMEDIATELY

Even if you can get it in the mail by May 22nd, that will still help — but please do not delay. Every single signature matters right now, and waiting until “later” could mean Jonathan misses the ballot entirely.

This is one of those moments where grassroots activism truly makes the difference.

If we want lawmakers to take the hemp industry seriously, we need candidates willing to engage with us — and we need to show up when it counts.

If Congressman Grothman wants to reclaim his reputation as a “hemp hero,” now is the time to act.

Please call his office, schedule a visit, or stop by in person and respectfully ask him to co-sponsor and support H.R. 7024 to help protect Wisconsin farmers, hemp businesses, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.

Phone calls and office visits matter. Congressional offices keep track of constituent contacts, and a surge of outreach from hemp advocates can make a real impact.
