Tyler August (R-Lake Geneva) does not support marijuana reform
Rep. August has not been vocal about supporting marijuana reform I can find. If you are near Lake Geneva and spoke to him, give me a message. As the right hand man of Robin Vos, Rep. August could have helped moved the bipartisan medical marijuana to a public hearing in the Assembly Committee on State Affairs chaired by Republican Rob Swearingen from Rhinelander who recently visited with local Wisconsin Law Enforcement and a new “social recreational marijuana club in Michigan” to learn about the Michigan Medical Marijuana Program.
Earlier this year Rep. August address the overwhelming support for medical marijuana in a news article, but the he and fellow Republican leadership in the committees are blocking anything marijuana reform related from even a public hearing.
Speaker Pro Tem Tyler August of Lake Geneva said Thursday that the medical marijuana debate is such a big issue it should be addressed on its own.
“It’s a conversation that I’m not opposed to having, but we need to have that separate of the state budget,” he said. source:
