Democrat Tricia Zunker: Campaign Website Link to “Issues” page and her positive stance on marijuana reform: https://triciaforwisconsin.com/issues/

Zunker: Recreational marijuana in appropriate amounts should be legalized. We have too many people who are being treated as if they are threats to society for marijuana. Our jails and prisons are overcrowded as a result and there is a surge in for-profit prisons. Criminal justice should never be about profit, ever. Where we can see the revenue stream that benefits society is through marijuana taxation. And we need to legalize medical marijuana because no one should be forced to suffer from a health condition or side effect that can be relieved through its use.

Tom Tiffany: Campaign Website

Early in 2019 Tiffany also seemed to know his Republican colleagues in the Assembly were working in their caucus to put a medical marijuana bill together for Wisconsin.

In December 2019, the Republicans prefiled a bill for the 2020 legislative session to create a medical marijuana program in Wisconsin (Assembly Bill 750/SB 683).   Assembly Bill 750 lead author was Rep. Mary Felzkowski (R-Irma) who is one of the three assembly districts in the 12th Senate District.  Senator Tiffany did not co-sponsor this legislation (SB683) in the Senate.   He Failed!

Senator Tiffany has announced he is running for Congress in the 7th District in a special election to replace Duffy (R).
