After 79% support in Forest and 77% support in Langlade Counties during the 2018 marijuana referendums the GOP conducted a 2019 Spring Survey about marijuana. Over 64% of his voter base support for marijuana reform in the great Northern Wisconsin Republican land, yet Rep. Mursau seems to be using “law enforcement opposition” as his stall tactic. Even with the slanted wording of the question, his district survey primarily of Republicans yielded high support for marijuana reform.

“Legalization of marijuana for medical and recreational purposes has been proposed. Law enforcement, educators and the medical community oppose legalization. Which best describes your views on marijuana legalization?”

31.48% indicated “I do not support any legalization of marijuana use”,

25.26% indicated “I support full decriminalization of marijuana for recreational or medical use”,

39.43% indicated “I support limited medical legalization only”,

3.8% did not provide a response or choose multiple answers
